Day One's End
Jun. 18th, 2009 08:50 pmThis is the 'about me' or 'mission statement' post for this particular journal. What this particular piece of cyber space will be used for at this time is all the wonderful (hopefully) things that I have written or plan on writing. There are other places over the net where some of them are already posted and I will probably move some of them here.
I hope anyone that finds this page enjoys the stories within it. Some will be long and others not so much. Most of it will be fanfiction from various sources and interests. So please, sit back, grab a cup of coffee and most importantly enjoy!
It is also important to note that any fanfiction, fiction, art, etc will be given a rating of PG, R, etc. I know that is is fairly common in fan works to warn for certain types of material in the summary. I will follow some of the the more common warning labels when necessary. However I will not warn for: character death, specific explicit sexual or violent content (i.e. I will warn for explicit violent content where appropriate, but I will not list out all forms of violence found within), or things like character betrayal. While I understand some people do not like certain types of content, or have serious hang ups about certain situations, I also put some of the responsibility on the reader to simply hit the back button or skip over material that the reader doesn't like.
I am posting this here so that no one gets surprised that 'x' wasn't warned for the summary. Personally, I dislike summaries that are bogged down with numerous intials and short hand in an effort to squeeze in all 'warnings' but there is little to nothing about the story itself in the summary. I also realize that warnings are a hot topic in fandom right now and that everyone has their own opinion on the matter. So to recap, if you want to have multiple warnings given to you for the stories you read, this is not the place for you. While I still invite you to read any story that catches your attention, please realize you do so at your own risk.
